Draft — pending lawyer review. Not yet in effect.
Last updated October 2026. Operator: Nailed (working name), a company to be formed. Contact: [support email to be set].
1. Who we are
Nailed (working name) provides the Nailed service. This policy explains what personal information we handle and why. It covers contractors who use Nailed and the homeowners who receive quotes and messages from them.
2. What we collect
- Contractors: name, business details, license and tax details you give us, phone, email, Telegram account identifiers, logo, payment settings, billing information (handled by our payment processor).
- Job data: quotes, policies, signed documents, expenses, receipts, check photos, voice notes and chat messages.
- Clients of contractors: name, phone, email, address, the documents sent to them, and their signature, consent record, IP address and device details at signing.
- Technical data: logs, device and browser information, and usage and AI cost metering.
3. How we use it
To provide the service: prepare quotes, collect signatures, send messages and reminders for the contractor, calculate profit, bill for plans, secure the service, and give support. We do not sell personal information.
4. AI processing
Messages, photos and voice notes you send to the assistant are processed by AI providers to understand and answer them. On paid plans we use paid-tier API terms under which your data is not used to train models. Conversations may be stored so the assistant can remember context. [Provider list and retention to be confirmed with counsel.]
5. Text messages
Clients' mobile numbers and SMS consent are used only to send the messages described in our SMS Terms. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
6. Who we share it with
Service providers that run Nailed on our behalf: hosting and storage, messaging and SMS carriers, email delivery, payment processing, AI model providers and error monitoring. They may use the data only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect rights and safety.
7. Retention
We keep job and signed-document records for as long as the contractor has an account and for a period afterward needed for legal and dispute purposes. [Retention schedule to be set by counsel.]
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your information. Homeowners can ask the contractor, or us, to do the same. Reply STOP to any text to stop messages. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. Contact us at [support email to be set].
9. Security
Each contractor's data is isolated from other contractors' data, traffic is encrypted in transit and access is limited. No system is perfectly secure.
10. Children
Nailed is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13.
11. Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above.
